thing 23 (finally)
I will know what I am able to use legally or not. If I create something and post it on the internet i would not have any copyright laws on it, so other can use it freely. I know the different stages of creative commons and will know more of what is allowed and what is not allowed.
thing22
I watched a how tech stuff works podcast. I used itunes because i already had it downloaded and i know how to use it. Maybe in the future i will create a podcast with my students. I am more likely to show the students an educational podcast. I subscribed to the how stuff works podcast. I enjoy the t.v. show, and thought why not listen to the podcast. Weather i really listen to them is very unlikely but if i want to i have it.
thing21
I enjoyed using Animoto. It was fun to make my own videos. The only thing that i did not like about it was that it was very slow to upload the pictures. If i could have just used the website pictures it would have been much faster. I will definitely use it again.
Create your own video slideshow at animoto.com.
thing 20
I have always loved youtube it is very easy to use all you do is put what you want and in the search box and you can get any kind of movie that you want education or not. I had to choose my boys for these videos and i could not just choose one, but i did have to leave lutacris out.
thing 18
I am a member of facebook, myspace and teacher pop. I love facebook becasue it is easy to use and is easy to update your profile. I thought that the wigets on teacher pop was a good idea but i could not figure out how to get it to go to your profile. I do not think i will be able to use this in the classroom.

It is important for educators to know social networking sites in that it is a valuable resource, to connecting with other teachers. I love Facebook and I also have a myspace, i enjoy being able to connect with my friends that i have not seen in a while and my family. I don't not think that these websites belong in the classroom. It is for social and children get enough of that. No matter what everyone thinks about it a majority of people have a Facebook (my grandma has a Facebook).
thing 17
Yes it is easy to find lots of websites with many of the same subjects. While at times it is not a good for research on a broad subject. If you wanted ideas on something it would become a good website to go to. I do not know how much i would really use it is in the classroom, but i might just need it at one point.
thing16
- I choose Pageflakes, because it was already set up for me and all i had to do was to change it to fit me. I choose scrybe because it was a to do list and a calendar that i could keep up with my life. Online calendars can be useful for both the students and the teachers. The students can know what is expected of them for the next day (homework, projects, ect.). The teacher can also know what is happening in the students life, both the students and the teacher could be able to change it.The online to-do list could be useful but it is just not for me. I like to be able to write my to-do list on a peice of paper and cross them out. I did not find anymore tools to use.
thing 15
I would probably use wikis as a bad example for the children. wikis can be changed by anyone. You do not need an account. While that is interesting it is also strange. You do not want to get your information from a website that you can change.
thing 14
the mind map i had never seen before so i was kinda confused with it. I would not use a mind map in a classroom it is too confusing and crazy looking. I made a venn diagram that already had good colors and shapes big enough to type in.
thing 13
the online word processor was easy to use. I could use it if something happened to Microsoft word, but i don't think that i would choose it over Microsoft word. I know word and know what i am doing on it.
thing 12
i used google calendar and picasa web albums. Google calendar could be useful in my classroom, by posting homework or classroom activities. With google calendars parents and students could see what is going on the classroom. In picasa web albums you can post pictures for the public to see. This would be good to show everyone what my class does in our classroom. Such as classroom activities and projects.

thing 11
The google blogs method was easiest for me. I have grown uo using google and you just type what you want to know about in the bar and many blogs come up. http://technorati.com/ was the hardest for me to use. I did not enjoy it the home page had to many icons and too many videos for me to easily know what to do. Well I really enjoy new technology and on the first page of the google blog it was talking about a blackberry ipad. This interested me a lot. I could find anything i want in a blog i did not find any incredibly unusual. I can also type something in regular google and i can click a tab that says blogs and they will all pull up.
thing 10
I like the way i can stay updated on the latest teaching news from one website. I would be able to use this to improtve my teaching skills. I will be able to read about the newest teaching news and know what is best for the students. It keeps you updated on the latest news without going to multiple websites.
thing 9
I could use this to help my powerpoint more interesting for the children. This will help them pay attention and learn more. This sign was very easy to make all i had to do was type my name in a box and it showed up on the sign.
thing 7

this image i would probably use to make my powerpoints more interesting. This picture reminds me of being lonely and all by myself.
thing 6
I choose woot.com I have become very familiar with woot.com over the past year. My favorite thing about woot.com is their woot offs. A woot off is when woot takes all their left over products and sells them for a cheaper price to clear space. The big product on a woot off is a "bag of crap" this is the same as a mystery bag. You are not sure what you will get. I could use this is my classroom as helping the students with percents give them a number of items in a "bag of crap" tell them what percent chance you have.
thing 5
Web 2.0 is viewed as different and scary for teachers. The best way to use this is to know more about technology then your students. Instead of technology being a annoyance in the classroom make them helpful. Text students their homework assignments to remind them. Students tend to pay more attention to something when it has technology incorporated with it.
thing 3
i could use the blog in the classroom for a couple of different things. I could keep the parents updated on what their children are doing. How the class as a whole is doing in the class. The different activities that we are doing in the classroom. I could also have the students write blogs about their lives ( their pets, and parents and lives)

Thing #4
It is very important to comment on other people's blogs. If you do not comment on others blogs the bloggers do not know if anyone is reading them. That would discourage anyone who is posting the blogs. A big point in one of the articles was that no one posts public blogs for their own self growth. i did not know that you needed to say thank you to be polite on blogs. I commented on Matthew Ciezki, Megan Artz, Asante Pugh's blog. THey are the only classmates that have posted blogs so it was an easy choice. In the non-classmate blogs i choose to read
Women and Children Last: The Discursive Construction of Weblogs on blogosphere this article was about the increase in women and children in the blog word. I choose this blog because it was the only blog in its category . Moving to the Public: Weblogs in the Writing Classroom
was the other blog that i choose. I choose this blog because it had connections with education. It talks about blogging in the classroom. I wanted to encourage them to continue to writing their blogs.
I am not sure why my type is funny looking but i could not get it to change so sorry if it is hard to read.

Thing #2
- How did you decide on your posting name and the name of your blog? Well i wanted to be easily identified so i used my last name and my birthday.
- What was your experience in creating the blog? Was it hard for you or easy? Why? Creating the blog was very easy. It was easier to create the blog then figuring out stuff to write in it.
- How does your avatar reflect your personality? Did you create an avatar that looks like your real self or someone totally different? Why? My avatar looks as close as i could make it to my real self. When creating something like that it never looks exactly like me.
Thing #1
The hardest things for me to do in the 7th steps to a lifelong learner included, View problems as challenges, have confidence in yourself, and create your own learning toolbox. I rarely view problems as challenges, I have always been taught to view problems as problems. I have confidence in myself when I am doing certain tasks, but in school I am not ver confident in my ability to learn well. My learning toolbox i feel is empty with no tricks in it. The easiest things for me to accomplish include, beginning with an end in mind, accepting responsibility for my own learning, use technology to my advantage, mentor/teach other, and play. These have always come easy to me and i have aways excelled at these tasks. I want to learn how to use websites catered for teachers better. I know the basic websites but i do not know any specifically made for the tasks i am trying to accomplish. After play with it for a short time i found web 2.0 very easy.
